Ashley Furniture is seeking a detail-oriented Fixed Assets Accountant to support accurate accounting, capitalization, depreciation, and reporting of fixed assets across our domestic operations. This role suits someone who enjoys working with detailed financial information and managing competing priorities in a fast-growing environment.

You will review CIP activity, determine capitalization, perform cost segregation analyses, and record depreciation and disposals for Ashley entities while

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Sage Premier Depreciation.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Review weekly activity posted to Construction in Progress (CIP) and reclassify costs as needed.
• Review completed capital projects and determine capitalization in accordance with Ashley capital standards.
• Perform cost segregation analysis on completed capital projects and capital purchases.
• Create upload files to add fixed assets to the asset ledger and record activity in the general ledger.
• Record monthly depreciation for all domestic Ashley companies.
• Perform periodic account reconciliations for Property, Plant & Equipment (PP&E) accounts.
• Record monthly disposals and transfers of fixed assets.
• Support various accounting projects, reporting requests, and other business needs as assigned.
