Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated is seeking a Corporate Accounting professional to review fixed asset additions, transfers and disposals and to perform monthly fixed asset processing in the general ledger. You will collaborate with operations and F&A leaders to obtain documentation, ensure policy compliance, and support month-end close.

The role emphasizes accuracy, process improvement, and adherence to internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required; 0-2 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and deadline driven.
• Data entry skills with high level of accuracy; Up to 5% travel.

Responsibilities

• Review fixed asset additions, transfers, and disposals for accuracy prior to submission for review and approval.
• Initiate/enter fixed asset transactions in the general ledger system.
• Ensure fixed asset documentation is complete and in accordance with policies and controls.
• Assist divisions with fixed asset issues or questions, including preliminary research and analysis of fixed asset invoices, records, and transactions.
• Maintain, update, and enforce fixed asset accounting policy across the enterprise.
• Work with IT to resolve technical issues in the fixed asset module of the general ledger system.
• Perform monthly fixed asset processing and support fixed asset reconciliation process.
• Support month-end close with explanations pertaining to changes in fixed asset account balances across all divisions.
• Participate in projects to identify and implement standardized processes and improvements.
• Create and update department procedures.
