North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for a Sales Tax/Fixed Asset Account- Sr to join our Corporate Headquarters based in Paris IL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales tax, tax laws, and fixed assets to be in compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations. NAL will provide relocation assistance to anyone outside of the Southern Illinois area.

Your Priorities

While working within the fast paced, automotive environment, you will interpret tax regulations in order to determine taxability of all purchases to assure adherence to Department of Revenue guidelines

Calculate and assess sales and use tax

Prepare filings for sales and use tax payments to appropriate states

Place fixed assets in service and prepare monthly depreciation journal entries in compliance with GAAP and IRS guidelines

Assist with Venus and Government reporting

Prepare analyses for year-end financial audit

Preform other duties ass assigned

Your Background

BS in Accounting, Business, or a related discipline plus 4 to 6 years of experience in General Accounting

Experience in sales and use tax is preferred
