Job summary

Coperion Corporate in Kansas is seeking a skilled welder/fitter to join our manufacturing team. You will set up, lay out, and weld or fit metal to create metal products, inspect welds, and maintain a clean, safe work area.

High school diploma required; experience preferred; ability to read blueprints and perform basic math; opportunity to grow with a global leader in process technologies.

Qualifications

• Prior welding experience preferred.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Skill in reading blueprints and technical instructions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs welding and/or fitting, set-up, and layout of raw and formed metal in the creation of metal products.
• Cleans and/or grinds welds.
• Performs general basic maintenance on equipment and workstation ensuring a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
• Checks quality of welds, repairing as needed.
