CIRCOR International, Inc. in Monroe, NC is seeking a skilled welder/fabricator to perform welding prep, burning, grinding, and fit-up, completing assemblies of skid units under supervision.

You will read drawings and setup cards, use precision measuring instruments, and ensure parts meet tolerances while maintaining safety standards. Responsibilities include operating the burning table, bending and testing mechanical tubing, and collaborating with engineers, schedulers, and teammates to deliver

Formación

• Be able to read and work from drawings, setup cards, charts and tables with or without instructions.
• Proficient working knowledge of IFS preferred.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions.
• Define routine problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
• Stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds; occasional climbing or stooping as required.

Responsabilidades

• Perform welding prep by burning, grinding, machining prep, layout, and fit-up.
• Complete assembly of skid units and Zenith systems.
• Rig and lift safely; operate the burning table and test mechanical tubing.
• Maintain dimensions with precision measuring instruments and document results.
• Communicate progress to engineers, schedulers, and management; perform duties with minimal supervision.

Position Summary

To perform weld preparation by means of burning, grinding, machining, layout, and fit-up as directed by supervisor. Complete assembly of skid units.

• Completes all shaft-to-shaft alignments within .002 TIR
• Completes all Zenith systems assembly.
• Completes all Systems Group Skid assembly.
• Serve as a technical resource for safety on rigging & lifting.
• Bends, installs & test mechanical tubing.
• Sandblasting, layout, burning, machining prep, & fit-up.
• Set up and use a variety of precision measuring instruments to maintain dimensions and tolerances as required.
• Communicate frequently and effectively to associates throughout the organization, including team members, engineers, schedulers, and upper management.
• Perform the above duties without assistance except on unusual or difficult jobs only.
• Consistently produce work of proper quality and of properly required quantity.
• Operate burning table.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Candidate Requirements

• Be able to follow verbal and written instructions; read and work on drawings, setup cards, charts and tables with or without job tag instructions.
• Proficient working knowledge of IFS preferred.
• Use of mathematics together with the use of complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables; various types of precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to define routine problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Impeccable integrity; Superior interpersonal skills; able to communicate and engage personnel at all levels of the organization.
• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The associate is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch. The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. The associate may, on rare occasions lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• 5 years of experience in fabrication or related manufacturing experience.
