Job summary

Planet Fitness is seeking a Fitness Trainer to lead group fitness programs, engage with members, and promote a welcoming, Judgement Free Zone®. The role includes creating class schedules, guiding members on safe equipment use, and encouraging progress toward personal goals.

Responsibilities include member outreach, phone inquiries, and daily cleaning and sanitizing of gym areas. Benefits include health coverage and retirement options.

Qualifications

• 6–12 months of experience in a customer service environment is preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Willing to become CPR/AED Certified (Training provided by Planet Fitness)
• Nationally Certified Training Certificate required.
• Basic computer proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Create a class schedule for members, including Orientation and DYOP.
• Proactively engage with members on the club floor to discuss fitness goals and proper equipment use.
• Promote the Judgement Free Zone® and support members on their fitness journeys.
• Conduct a comprehensive walk-through of all fitness areas to ensure a quality experience.
• Make prospective member calls and tours to assess needs and offer trainer services.
• Greet members and guests, answer questions, and assist with check-in.
• Handle phones, respond to inquiries, and maintain a clean, safe facility.
• Maintain sanitation of equipment and spa areas and restrooms according to plan.
