Job summary

Brooksby Village, part of Erickson Senior Living, is seeking a Personal & Group Fitness Trainer to lead group classes for seniors and conduct fitness assessments. The role emphasizes safe, evidence-based exercise programs, resident engagement, and wellness initiatives within a continuing care community.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-year related work experience.
• Current CPR/First Aid certifications.
• Experience evaluating fitness programs for seniors is a plus.
• Personal Training Experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive fitness assessments to evaluate residents’ current health and functional abilities.
• Design and implement individualized exercise programs incorporating flexibility, strength training, and cardiovascular conditioning.
• Instruct and educate residents on proper exercise techniques to ensure safety and maximize results.
• Support the coordination and delivery of community-wide wellness programs and initiatives.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe fitness environment for all residents.
• Foster positive relationships with residents and staff, motivating active lifestyles.
• Lead engaging group exercise classes tailored to varying ability levels.
• Provide specialized training for clients with diverse medical conditions and cognitive impairments.

Compensation: commensurate with experience $20-$22/ hour

How you will make an impact

• Assist in the daily operations of the Aquatic Center, including performing required water testing and safety checks.
• Lead engaging group exercise classes tailored to varying ability levels.
• Provide specialized training for clients with diverse medical conditions and cognitive impairments.

What you will need

• Minimum of 1-year related work experience
• Current CPR/First Aid certifications.
• Experience in evaluating fitness programs for seniors is a plus.
• Personal Training Experience preferred
