Job summary

Collier County is seeking a recreation professional to implement and supervise programs at Max Hasse Jr Community Park. This role involves organizing activities, managing staff, ensuring safety, and handling registrations and facility logistics.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, one year of related experience, CPR and First Aid certifications, and a valid Florida driver's license. Some positions may require fitness instructor certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One (1) year of related experience.
• Fingerprinting Required.
• Must possess and maintain certifications in CPR and First Aid.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License with any applicable endorsement(s) to drive a County vehicle as provided in CMA 5805.
• If Assigned To Fitness, required to obtain instructor certifications for teaching fitness classes.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and sets up programs and activities; supervises recreation activities.
• Enforces safety rules and guidelines; may serve in a lifeguard capacity at pools.
• Greets the public at the front desk; answers the telephone; gives information; receives and documents fees; balances cash drawer.
• Participates in short- and long-range planning; obtains permission and permits where applicable.
• Supervises all aspects of special events; coordinates parking and security; assists with cleanup.
• Assists with contracts, special events, and other information needed to run programs.
• Assigns equipment; ensures cleanliness and operability of equipment.
• Opens and closes the recreation building; checks buildings; reports maintenance problems; maintains order.
• Prepares and maintains logs and reports; conducts registration; maintains attendance sheets and files.
