Job summary

Genesis Health Clubs in Colorado is seeking a dynamic Personal Training Manager to oversee the PT department at a designated location. You will recruit, hire, schedule and train personal trainers while driving profitability and member satisfaction.

Responsibilities include staff development, tracking member consultations and training sessions, reporting to the District Fitness Manager, and ensuring club operations meet policy standards. Weekend/evening availability is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a national recognized personal training certification.
• CPR certification required.
• Experience supervising staff and managing budgets preferred.
• Ability to recruit, hire and train staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the Personal Training department for a designated Genesis location.
• Recruit, hire, schedule and train new personal trainers.
• Ensure profitability of the personal training program and oversee new member follow-up.
• Regularly meet with the Club Manager to maintain operations and requirements.
• Prepare weekly/monthly profitability/goal reports for leadership review.
• Maintain documentation and ensure timely completion of reports and checklists.
• Inspect trainers for effective member follow-up and client engagement.
• Maintain equipment and update tracking systems for prompt repairs.
• Respond quickly to emergencies and support staff as needed.
• Uphold Genesis Health Club staff policies and professional standards.

This position will oversee all aspects of the Personal Training department for a designated Genesis location; including recruiting, hiring, scheduling and training new personal trainers. As well as, ensure profitability of the personal training program by overseeing and following up with all new members, department goals and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the initial and continued training and education of all personal training staff.
• Maintain flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the members and the club.
• Track and record all new member fitness consultations and personal training sessions for reporting.
• Regularly meet with Club Manager to maintain club requirements and club operations.
• Complete profitability/goal reports on weekly and monthly basis to review with District Fitness Manager.
• Ensures that all required documentation (daily reports, checklists, etc.) are competed in a timely manner.
• Inspect personal trainers for proper new member follow-up.
• Maintain equipment and update online tracking system to ensure prompt equipment repair.
• Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations.
• Perform all duties and assignments as necessary or required for personal trainers and any other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all aspects of the Genesis Health Club Staff Policy Handbook.
• Expectations:

• Provide input in developing strategies to support departmental goals and objectives.
• Recommend staff development/ educational activities.
• Develop and build a team atmosphere among personal training staff.
• Influence and motivate other staff members to perform at their maximum capacity.
