Job summary

The Hermitage Club in Vermont is seeking energetic Part-Time Fitness Instructors to guide engaging, safe, and effective group fitness sessions for our exclusive membership. Instructors welcome a range of specialties—from Pilates and Yoga to HIIT and Dance Fitness—and will contribute to a welcoming, community-driven atmosphere on the mat.

Current certification in one or more disciplines, or another specialty format, is required with CPR/AED certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Current certification in one or more disciplines listed above, or another specialty group fitness format, from a recognized training program.
• Prior experience teaching group or private fitness sessions preferred.
• Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for health, wellness, and helping others succeed.
• Ability to build rapport and create a positive, encouraging class experience for members.
• CPR/AED certification preferred, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead engaging group fitness classes in your area(s) of specialty for members of varying skill and fitness levels.
• Provide clear instruction on proper form, alignment, pacing, and breathing technique to ensure a safe and effective workout.
• Modify exercises to accommodate individual member needs, injuries, or fitness goals.
• Create a welcoming, motivating, and community-driven atmosphere in every session.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the studio, equipment, and any class supplies before and after classes.
• Collaborate with the Fitness & Wellness team to schedule classes and promote member engagement and participation.
