The Salvation Army, at the Kroc Center in Phoenix, is seeking a part-time Fitness Instructor II to lead group fitness classes for diverse participants. You will instruct classes, ensure proper preparation, and promote safe, engaging workouts aligned with program standards.
Qualifications include 1 year of group fitness teaching, current format certifications, and strong English communication; Spanish is a plus. This role emphasizes customer service and adherence to gym safety policies.

Fitness Instructor II will lead group fitness classes for members and guests of different ages and abilities, instructing students on the specific class technique as well as general health and fitness tips. This position will provide information and answer questions about available programs. Fitness Instructor II will adhere to and enforce all rules that pertain to the group fitness area on a constant basis.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach with hands and arms on a continuous basis. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to operate telephone, a desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
