Job summary

Orangetheory Fitness in Worthington, IA is seeking energetic Fitness Coaches to lead our coach-inspired, science-backed workouts using heart-rate monitoring and technology.

You will motivate members, correct form, teach heart-rate training concepts, and support a team culture with ongoing workshops and certification opportunities.

Qualifications

• AED/CPR certification required.
• Maintain a current fitness certification from an education company approved by Orangetheory Fitness.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate members through pre-defined workouts.
• Assist members in setting and achieving SMART goals.
• Provide form corrections and exercise options with safety as priority.
• Educate members on heart-rate focused training and its benefits.
• Demonstrate proper use of equipment in every workout.

Position Overview

We are looking for coaches who can make our members feel seen, and that they’re an integral part of the hour you spend together. Coaches whose positive energy stays with a member long after they’ve left the studio, and they find themselves counting the hours till their next workout.

As a Fitness Coach you can expect to perform the following duties:

• Leading and motivating members through pre-defined workouts
• Helping members set and achieve S.M.A.R.T goals
• Offering form corrections and exercise options, safety if our priority!
• Understanding the science behind our workouts specifically, heart-rate focused training and educating our members on its benefits
• Knowledge of every piece of equipment and able to demonstrate usage in every workout.
• Positive attitude and being a team player

Additionally, you’ll need to meet these requirements:

• AED/CPR certified
• Hold and maintain a current fitness certification from an education company approved by Orangetheory Fitness

Compensation: $20.00 - $65.00 per hour

Orangetheory is a science-based, full-body workout that uses technology to measure performance so members can prove they are improving. In a 60-minute class, led by a highly trained and certified coach, members target at least twelve minutes in the Orange Zone to raise their heart rate and charge up metabolism. The result is an increase in calorie burn post-workout, backed by the science of excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC). After twelve minutes of hard work in the Orange Zone, your body burns additional calories as you recover over the next 24 hours.
