Job summary

SPENGA is seeking energetic instructors in Waukee to lead Spin, strength and yoga workouts and embody the SPENGA brand. Instructors certify in Spin, strength, and yoga and train to inspire members through high-energy sessions.

Responsibilities include teaching multi-discipline classes, adapting workouts for all levels, promoting SPENGA culture, and helping grow the studio through exceptional customer service and participation.

Qualifications

• Requires current personal or group training certification; Spin and yoga certifications are a plus.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to SPENGA’s fitness philosophy.
• Able to multi-task and command a room; strong energy and confidence.
• Demonstrated motivation, drive, and customer-service/sales abilities.
• Experience or certifications in Personal Training and/or Group Fitness Training, Spinning, or Yoga.
• Complete in-house SPENGA instructor training and pass audition for employment.

• Create and lead workouts according to the SPENGA model.
• Safely engage and motivate groups of up to 20 participants in a fast-paced workout.
• Modify exercises to accommodate a range of fitness levels.
• Retain and increase client participation; promote and sell SPENGA culture.
• Set up and reset studio equipment before and after classes.
• Promote SPENGA culture in and out of the studio.

All instructors go through the SPENGA certification program for Spin, strength, and yoga to learn how to lead the most efficient, effective workout and inspire others through fitness.

Availability:

• Sessions run Monday- Friday 5am, 6:15 am, 9:30 am, 12 (noon), 4 30 pm & 6 pm. Plus Saturday & Sunday mornings between 8am-10:30 am. You must be willing to commit to 1-2 weekdays (morning, daytime or evening sessions, not all sessions in a day) plus alternating Sundays.
