Role Description

The Fitness Equipment Service Technician is a full-time position responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of commercial and residential fitness equipment, including treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, and strength machines.

Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, completing field service visits, and ensuring equipment meets safety and performance standards. The technician will interact directly with customers, explain service work performed, provide basic equipment use guidance, and document all service activities accurately. The role also involves coordinating with the sales and warehouse teams for parts ordering, equipment testing, and readiness for delivery or resale.

Qualifications

• Strong maintenance and repair skills fitness equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve issues using Troubleshooting skills for mechanical and basic electrical problems.
• Experience with Field Service work, including on-site visits, equipment inspections, and service documentation.
• Effective Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, set expectations, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electronics, mechanics, or related fields is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment, stand for extended periods, and work safely in warehouse and customer environments.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience servicing fitness equipment or similar mechanical systems is preferred but not required.
