We Have the Job for You! The Fitness Coordinator contributes to the success of Campus Recreation by serving on the fitness team and assisting with fitness-related programs, operations and equipment. This position will supervise student employees, provide opportunities for participation in both informal and structured fitness programs, and maintain equipment inventory. Additionally, this position supports the overall success of the University and the well‑being of the USC community by fostering a positive and welcoming environment through collaboration, teamwork, professionalism, and a commitment to belonging in all interactions with students, staff, faculty, and patrons. Through exceptional customer service, meaningful engagement, and a commitment to continuous improvement, this position enhances the student experience while advancing unit, departmental, and University goals. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Skilled in student supervision and fitness programming organization, as well as the ability to instruct a variety of fitness programs. Ability to supervise student employees and complete detailed reports. Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills. Ability to make sound decisions and implement emergency action plans when needed. Ability to successfully implement creative, state of the art fitness programs. Ability to teach a variety of fitness programs to participants and provide training / instruction to student employees.
