Orangetheory is looking for Fitness Coaches to lead coach-inspired, science-backed, technology-tracked workouts. We seek coaches who make members feel welcome and part of the hour together, whose positive energy lasts beyond the studio, and who look forward to the next workout. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leading and motivating members through pre-defined workouts
• Helping members set and achieve goals
• Ensuring members use correct form and offering corrections
• Understanding the science behind heart-rate-based training and related concepts
• Being a team player
• Availability to coach a minimum of 8 classes/week
• Willingness to immerse yourself in studio culture

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Hold and maintain a current fitness certification from an approved education company (ACE, NASM, AFAA, NSCA, ACSM); current AED/CPR certificate; 10+ hours per year in continuing education units outside of OTF curriculum
• Knowledge + Experience: Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics; understanding of heart rate-based training; 2 years of experience as a group or individual personal trainer preferred; Microsoft Office and Outlook a plus
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills; ability to multi-task; excellent customer service; team player mindset

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands are representative of those needed to perform essential functions. Reasonable accommodations may be made for disabilities. The role requires regular use of hands and the ability to lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.

Fitness Coaches lead Orangetheory workouts on their feet for the duration of the class. In the weight room, coaches demonstrate exercises using Bosu trainers, medicine balls, dumbbells, TRX, mini bands, and other equipment.
