JOB DESCRIPTION:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Leading and motivating members through pre‑defined workouts
• Helping members set and achieve goals
• Ensuring correct form and providing corrections as needed
• Understanding the science behind our workouts and staying aware of industry trends
• Being a team player
• Coaching a minimum of 8 classes per week
• Immersing yourself in studio culture

Qualifications

• Education: Hold and maintain a current fitness certification from an education company approved by Orangetheory Fitness: ACE, NASM, AFAA, NSCA, ACSM; current AED/CPR certificate; 10+ hours per year in continuing education units outside of OTF curriculum
• Knowledge + Experience: Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics; functional understanding of heart‑rate‑based training; 2 years of experience as a group or individual personal trainer preferred; Microsoft Office and Outlook a plus
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills; ability to multi‑task; excellent customer service; team‑player mindset

Physical Requirements

The physical demands include regularly using hands to signal, handle, or feel, and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 80 pounds. Coaches must be on their feet during entire sessions and demonstrate all exercises for members.

Pay

$35–$100 per class (Socal/Bay) $35–$65 per class (SAC) $30–$65 per class (OH) (standard hourly + class scale). Compensation: $13.00–$75.00 per hour.
