Orangetheory Fitness is hiring a Coach in San Diego to lead high-energy group workouts and guide members toward their fitness goals. You will deliver scientifically designed sessions, motivate multiple clients, and ensure proper form with heart-rate based training concepts.

We seek a fitness-minded professional with AED/CPR certification and an Orangetheory-approved certification. Flexible availability and a collaborative studio environment are valued.

As an Orangetheory Fitness Coach, you will be responsible for delivering scientifically predesigned workouts per session. This position requires a strong ability to coach, manage time and motivate multiple clients in a group setting. The Coach will deliver a high-energy workout experience. This role must focus on a well-rounded theory of fitness, including endurance, strength, and power, using the tools given to optimize the client’s experience and results. The Coach will report to the Head Coach or Studio Sales & Fitness Manager.

Job Duties Include

• Leading and motivating members through pre-defined workouts
• Helping members set and achieve goals
• Making sure members are using correct form and offering corrections if they aren’t
• Understanding the science behind our workouts specifically, heart-rate focused training programs in general, and being aware of what the competition is doing
• Knowing how to use and demonstrate usage for every piece of equipment utilized in every workout
• Being a team player

Job Qualifications

• Being AED/CPR certified
• Hold and maintain a current fitness certification from an education company approved by Orangetheory Fitness
• Health & Fitness minded people strongly preferred
• Ability to work and function in an ORANGE TEAM environment (Orange is more than a just a color, it’s an attitude)
• Flexible to work any day, evening and/or weekend hours as needed

Pay: starting at $17.50/hour -
plus earn a per-class coach bonus ranging from $20 - $72 per class

As you gain experience and more hours' coaching you can level up your tier and hourly base.

Specific job duties and selection requirements vary between Orangetheory studio locations, and more details can be provided by the studio’s hiring manager if you are selected to move forward in the interview process.

Compensation: $17.75 - $72.00 per hour

Orangetheory is a science-based, full-body workout that uses technology to measure performance so members can prove they are improving. In a 60-minute class, led by a highly trained and certified coach, members target at least twelve minutes in the Orange Zone to raise their heart rate and charge up metabolism.
