Job summary

The May Center is seeking a Utility Worker to perform cleaning duties across locker rooms, fitness areas and office spaces. You will handle light equipment cleaning, storage and transport, and be cross-trained between locations as needed.

Responsibilities include maintaining clean conditions, assisting patrons, stocking towels and amenities, reporting equipment issues, and lifting 25+ lbs. A high school diploma and customer service experience are required; CPR certification is preferred and

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience is required.
• Friendly, outgoing personality with good verbal communication.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Must be able to lift 25+ lbs.
• Porter experience in fitness/hospitality is a plus.
• CPR certification preferred; training paid by 92NY.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level customer service to May Center patrons.
• Keep locker rooms, fitness/athletic and office facilities clean and organized.
• Stock towels and amenities; transport and store dirty towels.
• Respond to cleaning needs and use equipment to maintain a clean environment.
• Clean, store, move and adjust fitness equipment; report issues.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
