Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation is seeking a Weight Room Attendant to assist in facility operations, patron services, and equipment monitoring in a community recreation setting.

Pay is $15.00 per hour. The role requires maintaining equipment safety, enforcing rules, and completing incident reports. Candidates must be at least 15 and complete First Aid/CPR within three months of hire. This is an on-site position with opportunities to learn professional communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years of age.
• Basic First Aid and CPR/AED required within three (3) months of date of hire.

Responsabilités

• Monitors walk/run track and equipment; coordinates waiting list during peak hours.
• Maintains cleanliness of fitness equipment and areas.
• Enforces rules and ensures safety in the fitness area.
• Completes incident/accident reports promptly and notifies management of issues.
• Performs setup and takedown for programs, rentals, and events.
• Monitors bike reservations, bike equipment checkout/return; ensures equipment is in good condition.
• Monitors Stand Up Paddle Board and Canoe reservations; inspects watercraft equipment.
