Job summary

Pacific Seafood in Nespelem, WA is seeking a Fish Farm Worker. The role involves general farm grounds maintenance and fish husbandry tasks, with daily duties including counts, harvesting, inventory, and data entry. Qualifications

  • At least 6 months related experience in farming or a related industry.
  • Experience operating forklifts and powered pallet jacks safely.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Ability to read simple instructions and write simple notes.
  • Prior boat operator experience or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Be a role model in applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy and promote teamwork.
  • Perform general fish husbandry tasks such as counting, harvesting, and inventory.
  • Perform general labor tasks as assigned.
  • Assist with farm organization and clean up as directed.
  • Assist with building projects as assigned.
  • Enter data into company computer database as directed.
  • Operate equipment including pallet jacks, forklifts, and farm boats.
  • Maintain farm safety and comply with guidelines.
  • Ensure proper use of all machinery and equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Fish Farm Worker

Compensation: $19.20 - $23.43 / hour

Summary: Responsible for general farm grounds maintenance and upkeep. Will assist with various projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general fish husbandry tasks such as counting, harvesting, and taking inventory.
  • Perform general labor tasks, as assigned.

  • Operate various farm equipment including pallet jacks, forklifts, and farm boats.
  • Maintain farm safety at all times; comply with company health and safety guidelines.
  • Ensure proper use of all company machinery, tools, and equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What you bring to Pacific Seafood

Required:

  • Minimum of six months related experience in the construction, manufacturing, farming, or related industry.
  • Experience with the safe operation of fork lifts and powered pallet jacks.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.

Preferred:

  • Prior boat operator experience or license.

  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
  • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
  • The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned (i.e., custodial, food services, general laborer, etc.) or to make general observations of facilities or structures (i.e., security guard, inspection, etc.)
  • Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and farm boat.
