State of California is seeking a Fish and Game Lieutenant (Supervisor) to organize and supervise wardens protecting wildlife and habitats. The role includes directing enforcement of pollution controls and preventing illegal wildlife trade, while providing public safety and mutual aid to communities in Trinity and Tehama counties.
The position is permanent, full time, located in-office, with a salary range of $8,167 to $11,669 per month.

Under the direction of the Captain, the Lieutenant organizes, reviews, directs and supervises the work of wardens engaged in the protection of fish and wildlife, habitat protection, pollution enforcement, prevention of illegal commercialization of wildlife, providing public safety/mutual aid/homeland security to constituency and responding to public requests for service or information.
This position may be filled in the following counties: Trinity and Tehama.
Personal Leave Program: Effective July 1, 2025, state employees are subject to temporary salary reductions ranging from 2% to 4.62% in exchange for Personal Leave Program (PLP) hours.
