Job summary

Quinnipiac University seeks an Associate Director of Residential Life to lead the resident experience for first-year students, reporting to the Director of Residential Life. This in-person role guides a community of about 1,600 first-year students and partners across Student Affairs to foster belonging and success.

The position emphasizes program development, staff supervision, and crisis leadership to support students’ growth and safety in a large, private university setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree is required.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in a residential life capacity.
• Proven leadership or functional supervision experience.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, develop, supervise, and evaluate 3-5 full-time Residence Hall Directors.
• Provide leadership for the assigned residential community to ensure a positive and inclusive experience.
• Oversee room changes and other operational processes within Housing.
• Develop and implement training for Living Learning Communities and staff.
• Manage budgets and establish performance expectations for staff.
