Job summary

First Team Hampton Chevrolet is seeking a Collision Center Estimator to join our Hampton location. You will create supplements and repair plans, take essential photos, and review with the insurance carrier to ensure smooth approvals.

As a vital team member, you will collaborate with parts and technicians to complete repairs quickly, dispatch orders by skill and capacity, and monitor progress to minimize delays.

Responsibilities

• Use CCC, Mitchell, RepairLogic to prepare supplements and repair plans.
• Capture photos and review repairs with insurer.
• Coordinate with Parts and technicians to meet schedules.
• Dispatch repair orders based on technician capacity and skills.
• Monitor repair progress and resolve bottlenecks to maintain cycle time.

Compensation/Good Faith Pay Range

• $30,000 to $75,000 annually, based on experience
• Commission and performance incentives paid under the dealership's compensation plan

What You'll Do

• Must be able to use or willing to learn CCC, Mitchell, RepairLogic, etc.
• Create supplements and develop repair plans
• Take all necessary photos and review with insurance carrier
• Be proactive in working with Parts Department and technicians to complete repairs as fast as possible
• Manage production and perform a meeting/daily walk to avoid any delays and parts issues
• Dispatch repair orders to technicians based on skill set and current shop capacity
• Monitor real-time repair progress and proactively resolve shop floor bottlenecks to maintain cycle time

What You'll Bring

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic; work well in teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to team members and customers
• Previous dealership or automotive repair experience preferred
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and a flexible schedule
• Ability to hold yourself accountable and achieve goals with limited or direct supervision.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Pass a criminal background check and drug screen
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct
