Job summary

Samuel Pressure Vessel Group seeks a skilled welder to join our fabrication team. You will perform TIG, MIG, flux-core, spot, and seam welds, interpret blueprints and weld symbols, and ensure quality throughout production.

Qualifications

• Advanced TIG, MIG, flux-core, spot and seam welding experience.
• Ability to read blueprints/specs and ASME codes.
• Good math and measurement skills; reading fractions/decimals.
• Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
• Reading/writing proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document safety checks on cranes, welding machines, and tools.
• Read blueprints and weld symbols to plan work activities.
• Select, order, inspect materials and use them efficiently.
• Weld using TIG, MIG, flux-core, sub-arc, spot, seam methods.
• Finish with grinding/polishing to spec.
• Inspect own work; consult as needed for quality.
• Complete production, quality, and project documentation.
• Support fabrication personnel and meet quality/workmanship targets.
• Aim for 95%+ success on X-ray weld inspections.
• Operate cranes, hoists, forklifts; perform PPE training.
• Prepare finished projects for shipment; maintain clean area.
