Job summary

Gpac is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented 1st Shift Wastewater Technician in western Ohio to operate, monitor, and maintain wastewater treatment systems in compliance with environmental regulations and company standards.

The role requires experience in wastewater management, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to workplace safety. Responsibilities include system operation, data logging, sample collection, and coordination with maintenance and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-3 years of experience in industrial wastewater treatment preferred.
• Valid Wastewater Certification.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read technical manuals and follow standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wastewater treatment equipment (pumps, valves, filters, etc.).
• Perform daily inspections of the wastewater system and record operational data.
• Collect water and sludge samples for laboratory testing and adjust treatment as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
• Perform preventative maintenance and assist with repairs on treatment systems.
• Maintain accurate logs, records, and reports.
• Work safely and comply with all company safety protocols and PPE requirements.
