Job summary

UofL Health is seeking a Rehab Technician to aid in patient care under the direction of Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists at University Hospital - UMC in Louisville. The role involves patient preparation, assisting with interventions, and post-treatment tasks within a collaborative rehab team.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, assisting transfers, taking vitals, and handling clerical duties while maintaining a clean, organized care environment and ensuring HIPAA

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous clerical experience preferred.
• Experience as Physical Therapy Tech preferred.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Administers components of interventions as directed by PT/OT/SLP.
• Prepares for exercise and modality equipment setup.
• Assists in transfer and transport of patients as needed.
• Takes vital signs when needed and monitors patient status.
• Performs clerical duties and maintains department records.
• Keeps treatment areas and equipment clean and organized.
