Job summary

Ventura Coastal, LLC is seeking aGroup Leader to assist the shift supervisor in leading the production department in Visalia, CA. The role emphasizes training staff, ensuring safe and hygienic operations, and maintaining food safety practices across the line.

Responsibilities include supervising equipment operation, ensuring compliance with CCPs, documenting shift activities, and coordinating with the lab for sample testing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Five years of citrus manufacturing experience.
• Two years of leadership experience.
• Basic computer skills including touch screen usage.
• Possess a valid forklift license or ability to obtain one.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a major plus.
• Knowledge of citrus manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to meet flexible and changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Train new employees in safe, quality-oriented operation of production equipment and systems.
• Lead shift operations and ensure safety and food safety compliance.
• Document shift paperwork and production records.
• Walk up 3 flights of stairs to Extraction and Supervisor office; check tanks and deliver samples to lab.
• Promote safety and ensure PPE compliance, report hazards and propose fixes.
