Job summary

Robin Industries, Inc. is seeking an experienced production helper to support operators in our molding department. You will assist with setup, material handling, and tool changes to keep the line running smoothly.

Responsibilities include recording production data, following safety rules, and assisting with repairs in coordination with maintenance and engineering to improve processes while maintaining quality and housekeeping standards.

• Record, log and maintain records; prepare reports as required.
• Instruct operators in proper molding techniques, procedures, and housekeeping.
• Ensure operators are supplied with all materials needed to produce product.
• Set up startup molds to established process parameters; change cavities and inserts as needed.
• Monitor material usage of rubber presses; notify mill operator of material requirements.
• Assist in relieving press operators for lunch and breaks as directed.
• Observe safety rules and keep work area neat and safe; use power tools and equipment safely.
• Work with engineering to improve techniques, molds, processes.

Job description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Perform duties to provide operators with support and assistance.

Record, log and maintain records as per work instructions; prepare reports as required.

Instruct operators in proper molding techniques, procedures, product, quality requirements, and housekeeping.

Provide support and assistance to operators to maintain efficiency and scrap standards; insure that operators are supplied with all materials necessary to produce product.

Set-up startup molds to established process parameters; change cavities and inserts on molds as needed.

Monitor material usage of rubber presses; notify mill operator of material requirements; calculate mixing and blending of rubber compounds needed; cut rubber when needed.

Report press breakdowns or malfunctioning problems to maintenance; make minor repairs.

Work with engineering to improve techniques, molds, process and the like.

Assist In relieving press operators or other qualified production operations for lunch and breaks as directed.

Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition; exercise proper care and safety in the use of power tools, equipment and materials.
