Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Technician in Norfolk, VA to perform a wide variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies and end products.

Essential duties include following engineered assembly processes, hand soldering, and collaborating with a team while maintaining quality and productivity. The role requires lifting up to 25 lbs, overtime as needed, and strong customer focus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent plus 4 years of experience, or 2 years post-secondary with 0–2 years of related experience.
• Able to follow an engineered assembly process with consistent quality.
• Able to lift and move up to 25 lbs and work overtime as needed.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Performs mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly on assemblies, sub-assemblies, or end products.
• Follows engineered assembly processes and may adjust or align parts as needed.
• Uses hand tools (pliers, screwdrivers, soldering irons, wrenches) to assemble.
• Maintains quality and productivity; performs hand soldering on electronic assemblies.
• Works in a fast-paced, flexible production environment and collaborates with team.
