Job summary

ONWARD SEARCH is seeking a 2nd Shift Precision Production Set-Up Operator (Mills & Lathes) to support on-site manufacturing operations. The role involves setting up and running mills and lathes, performing deburring and packing per instructions, and maintaining accurate production records.

Entry-level candidates may be considered; prior experience preferred. This temp-to-perm position offers exposure to high-precision environments, safety-focused practices, and opportunities for skill

Qualifications

• Prior experience with machine setups on mills and lathes preferred; entry-level considered based on shift.
• Ability to work independently and follow safety procedures.
• Basic computer skills helpful for reporting and documentation tasks.
• Physically able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and handle repetitive movements.
• Good vision with tolerance for color vision impairment and mild hearing loss.

Responsibilities

• Operate machine parts and manage materials per manufacturing and quality protocols.
• Set up and run production on mills and lathes according to schedules and instructions.
• Perform cleaning, deburring, and packaging of parts per detailed job instructions.
• Record accurate part counts, in-process quality checks, and maintain production documentation.
• Conduct or identify the need for machine maintenance and keep workspaces organized and safe.
