Job summary

The Marzetti Company seeks a diligent packaging associate to operate on the production line in a manufacturing setting. You will pack products, palletize items, and support the line with tape machine setup and waste weighing.

Responsibilities include maintaining GMP standards, ensuring proper sealing and labeling, and assisting with the Master Cleaning Schedule. The role requires readiness for an 8-10 hour shift with potential overtime.

Qualifications

Overview

• Sweep at end of shift.
• Check case count and weigh waste.
• Assist with Master Cleaning Schedule.
• Assist with other assignments as directed.
• Empty trash cart as time permits.

Responsibilities

Responsible for packaging product in a safe and efficient manner.

Qualifications

• Pack product.
• Palletize product
• Sets up tape machines.
• Keep cartons available for packers.
• Keep product buckets empty, using GMP’s to avoid contamination.
• Make sure bags are properly sealed and coded
• Ensures compliance to quality, food safety and HACCP support programs; assures conformity to all company, customer, and government standards in work area.
• Follow GSO’s and other policies designed to improve safety.
• Ensure compliance to process and preventive controls as laid out in Food Safety Plan.

Working Conditions/Environment

• Works in a manufacturing environment where employee may be required to speak, read, stand, walk, reach, lift and bend while performing job duties.
• Must be able to stand for a standard 8-10 hour shift, with regular breaks performing repetitive work. Overtime and/or weekend work may be required.
• Earplugs, hairnets, beard nets (if applicable), shirt apparel with no buttons or pockets are required in plant in accordance with company GMP and safety standards.
