Job Description

First Shift Overhead Crane Operator

Automation Personnel Services is looking for an experienced First Shift Overhead Crane Operator offering great growth opportunities with a metal manufacturer based in Marietta, Georgia. In this job, you will be responsible for performing an array of duties such as operating overhead cranes, product picking and pulling, shipping and receiving, and other related duties.

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour.

Schedule and Hours: Monday through Friday, 5:00 am to 1:00 pm

First Shift Overhead Crane Operator Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate overhead cranes and a variety of forklifts.
• Receive and unload incoming stock and load outbound shipments.
• Create and maintain logs of incoming and outgoing stock.
• Chain and tarp outbound shipments on trailers.
• Retrieve materials based on color coding and order specification from various locations using measuring tools.
• Assist in keeping the facility clean, neat, safe, and operating efficiently.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2-3 years minimum of previous overhead crane experience required.
• Previous experience with a steel manufacturer.
• Experience with hand tools including tape measures, micrometers, and calipers.
• Understand and practice safety policies and procedures.
• Drug screening and background checks are required.
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs unassisted; an office lifting assessment is required.

Job Type: Full time, Temporary to Hire
