Job summary

Astroseal Products in Connecticut is seeking a Machine Operator for first shift (Mon-Thu, 5:30 AM–4:00 PM). You will operate production machines, perform quality checks, and complete ERP paperwork. The role emphasizes material handling, strict accuracy, and safety in a light manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate has High School/GED and 1–3 years of manufacturing experience; expanded mesh experience is a plus. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and life insurance coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate/GED.
• 1–3 years related manufacturing experience, preferred.
• Expanded mesh experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications/travelers/log tickets to determine material requirements.
• Check coil stock at machine to verify correct material requirements.
• Ensure correct position of material in take-up rolls, adjust, and secure work product.
• Monitor multiple machines (high speed stamping press) that expand copper or aluminum metal.
• Detect defects or machine malfunction and report defects and malfunctions to supervisor.
• Inspect product for visual defects and measure at key points with precision instruments.
• Log in and out of jobs, enter log information in ERP system.
• Perform minor machine maintenance (e.g., adding oil).
• Remove finished rolls and move to designated area with paperwork.
• Wear safety equipment and maintain a clean, safe work area.
