Job summary

Astroseal Products is hiring a Machine Operator for First Shift (Mon-Thu, 5:30 AM–4:00 PM). Compensation ranges from $19–$21 per hour. The role involves operating production machines, performing visual quality checks, and completing ERP entries.

Responsibilities include material handling, defect detection, precise measurements, and basic maintenance. Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years related manufacturing experience preferred.
• Expanded mesh experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine material requirements.
• Check coil stock at machine to verify material requirements.
• Ensure correct position of material in take-up rolls and secure work product.
• Monitor high speed stamping presses that expand copper or aluminum metal.
• Detect defects or machine malfunctions and report promptly.
• Inspect product for visual defects and measure key points for accuracy.
• Log in/out of jobs and enter log information in ERP system.
• Perform minor machine maintenance such as adding oil to reservoirs.
• Move finished rolls to designated area with paperwork.
• Wear gloves, safety goggles and other PPE.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
