Marathon Electric in Wausau, part of the WEG Group, is hiring a General Assembly Technician for first shift to set up areas and assemble large motors and generators to customer specs, with safety and quality as priorities.

You will perform assembly tasks using hand and small power tools, review work instructions, verify part numbers and document the process, joining a team-focused, manufacturing environment in Wisconsin.

Qualifications

• Able to read procedures for safety, quality and general assembly.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and physical condition.
• Experience as an assembler in a manufacturing setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Insert, connect, test, coil wind, and insulation cut.
• Use hand and small power tools to assemble.
• Verify part numbers and complete documentation for parts/processes.
• Notify lead of any deviations in product quality to ensure defects are corrected.
