Job summary

Allegion Canada Inc. in Princeton, IL, is hiring for an Assembler Operator. The role supports assembly lines, builds cylinders, and ensures takt goals are met while maintaining safety and 5S standards. You will restock materials, document downtime, and perform quality checks on components.

The position requires the ability to follow written instructions, read drawings, identify parts, and operate CRT data entry tools. Training is provided; overtime may be required based on production needs.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Read and interpret assembly documents.
• Identify components and select correct parts.
• Able to use CRT and data entry technologies.
• Basic math and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform all assembly operations on any of the assembly lines using standard work and OMS guides.
• Build pre-assemblies for stations requiring these assemblies and cylinders for takt goals.
• Restock materials to minimize build delays and reduce downtime.
• Record downtime minutes with detailed explanations of missed takt hours.
• Perform quality checks on parts and products per procedures.
• Follow safety regulations; maintain a clean, organized work area.
• May perform other duties and overtime as needed.
