Job summary

PHI Aviation, LLC in Lafayette, LA seeks a qualified helicopter pilot to operate under FAA rules and PHI's OM and policy manuals. The PIC has final authority for flight operations and must maintain compliance with flight time, medical, and reporting requirements.

You will coordinate with operations, file Occurrence Reports, maintain logs, and ensure safety and customer service. The role requires 1500 PIC hours in helicopters, cross-country, night, and instrument time, plus a valid passport.

Responsibilities

• Operate aircraft under FAA regulations, PHI OM/A, and customer requirements.
• Submit occurrences, incidents, and related reports in a timely manner.
• Maintain an up-to-date flight log as per 14 CFR requirements.
• Ensure professional appearance and courteous customer service during flights.
• Report any certificate suspensions or medical issues to Chief Pilot immediately.

POSITION OVERVIEWUnder the general supervision of the Chief Pilot and Operations Manager, ensure the aircraft is operated under the appropriate Federal Aviation Regulations, PHI’s Operations Manual and PHI’s Policy Manual to ensure safe and efficient flights for PHI’s customers. The PIC is directly responsible for, and the final authority as to the operation of the aircraft.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIESIt is the responsibility of each pilot to comply with FAA Regulations, the Operations Manual, and any state, municipal and domestic or international government regulations that may apply to the area in which they are operating. In the event of a conflict, the more conservative regulation will apply, except where the current FAA Operations Specifications for PHI authorizes otherwise, and to:Operate their aircraft in a safe and efficient manner, with emphasis on compliance with the OM-A, OM-B, Aircraft Flight Manual, Aeronautical Information Manual, or International Airman's Information Manual, and customer requirements.Be knowledgeable of the contents of the Operations Manual.Submit all appropriate paperwork accurately, in a neat and timely manner. Occurrence Reports, First Reports of Injury, Daily Flight Sheets and Manifests must be submitted prior to the end of that day's work shift.Accept duty only when he/she is compliant with the Flight and Duty Time Regulations and present themself rested and medically fit for flying.Maintain a logbook, or other reliable record, in accordance with 14 CFR § 61.51 to show recent flight experience requirements of 14 CFR § 61.57, 135.245 and 135.247.Report any major malfunctions, aircraft damage, or injured personnel to the Program/Operations Manager.Present themself in a neat and professional manner while carrying out their duties with the Company.Work with the customer to provide courteous, efficient, reliable, and safe service.Comply with other specific duties which may be assigned by their supervisors.Be aware of the proper line of operational control.Report the suspension or revocation, or potential suspension or revocation, of their FAA pilot or medical certificate.
