Responsibilities

• Maintain records and the comprehensive computer database for annual child counts and state/federal reports.
• Teach academic content aligned to current state standards.
• Provide a learning environment where all students feel safe and successful.
• Instruct pupils in basic subject matter as specified by state law and district policies.
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials; provide individualized and small group instruction.
• Monitor and evaluate pupils’ academic and social growth; maintain records and progress reports.
• Communicate with parents through conferences and other means to discuss pupil progress.
• Identify pupil needs and collaborate with staff to assess and provide interventions for health, social-emotional, and academic needs.
• Enhance professional pedagogy through in-service education and set goals for professional growth.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university

Teaching certification in Early Childhood or Elementary Education recognized by the State of Oklahoma
