Job summary

Keystone is seeking its first General Counsel for a standalone, PE-backed platform business in Boston. This leadership role partners with the CEO, executive team, and Board to drive legal, compliance, and risk programs while enabling growth.

Qualifications

• Senior in-house legal leader or senior law-firm partner with PE-backed or platform business experience.
• Strong commercial judgment and ability to navigate high-change environments.
• Experience building scalable legal functions.

Responsibilities

• Advise the CEO, leadership team, and Board on legal, governance, and risk matters.
• Build and lead Keystone’s legal function, creating scalable systems that support growth.
• Oversee key commercial agreements, partnerships, and strategic alliances.
• Partner with revenue and business‑development leaders to improve contracting efficiency.
• Manage outside counsel relationships across top‑tier firms and boutiques.
• Own governance, compliance, and risk frameworks for a PE‑backed business.
• Navigate complex matters involving privilege, conflicts, and sensitive stakeholders.
