Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in Hawaii and in good standing.
• Strong oral advocacy, writing, and legal research skills.
• Experience in civil matters and litigation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first chair in defending the County in civil matters such as personal injury, contract disputes, civil rights, and environmental cases.
• Collaborate with the Litigation Section and provide legal analysis and strategy.
• Represent the County in court and in negotiations and prepare legal briefs and memoranda.
