Required License Certification and Registration: Incumbent must hold and maintain the Certified Surgical First Assistant Professional credential administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting, (formerly LCC-ST). A current CPR card is required; either an American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers card or an American Red Cross Professional Rescuer card required.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: 2-year Associates degree or 4-year Bachelor degree with specialized training in surgical processes, anatomy, instrumentation and/or equipment through an accredited school of Surgical technology or appropriate training program for surgical technology through the United States military or the United States Public Health System. Certification Required. Two years of operating room technician experience required.
