Job summary

Motion Recruitment is partnering with a GPU cloud computing startup to hire a Principal Product and Application Security Engineer as a founding engineer in San Francisco, CA. You will build the security program from the ground up, own authentication and GraphQL authorization at scale, and partner with product and engineering leadership to drive secure product decisions in a fast-paced environment.

This is a unique opportunity to shape security foundations at a high-growth company nearing unicorn

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in application security, product security, and/or DevSecOps.
Experience building out an appsec program from the ground up or as the first appsec hire.
Experience with GraphQL authorization at scale.
Experience architecting or operating a home-grown authentication service.
Strong leadership experience – able to be hands-on while driving business decisions with non-technical leaders.
Startup experience is a big plus.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future.

Lead and drive AppSec initiatives, working closely with product and engineering teams to enable secure product decisions.
