What You Will Do
- Develop real‑time control system architectures to enhance performance of physical systems.
- Develop sophisticated detection, classification, localization, and tracking (DCLT) algorithms for high‑noise environments.
- Support development and testing of experimental testbeds for real‑time sensor processing, quantum information systems, integrated photonic systems, and other physical sciences pursuits.
- Implement and evaluate real‑time systems in realistic mission scenarios and conduct operational analysis.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or an advanced degree; alternatively 6 years of experience if no degree.
- Professional experience in FPGA development: RTL design, verification, timing analysis, board bring‑up, and validation.
- Understanding of digital signal processing fundamentals and FPGA implementation.
- Experience with high‑speed interfaces: Ethernet, serial point‑to‑point (sFPDP, SPI), high‑speed memory (HBM2, DDR).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (bash, Tcl, etc.).
- U.S. government issued security clearance (Secret) capability required.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience with SoC boards running bare‑metal code and deploying embedded Linux (e.g., Petalinux).
- Experience with RFSoC boards and/or high‑speed analog signal generation and digitization.
- Familiarity with building Linux drivers for FPGA peripherals.
- Experience with high‑level synthesis tools, including BlueSpec SystemVerilog.
- Software development experience in C/C++ and Python.
