Lumicity in San Francisco is seeking a Firmware Engineering Manager to lead a growing firmware team building next-generation connected devices. You will stay hands-on while guiding architecture, design, and development.

You will work with hardware, mobile, cloud, and product teams to deliver reliable wireless firmware, OTA updates, sensor integration, and robust data communication. This role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and shaping the technical roadmap while growing the team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of embedded systems development experience.
• Strong expertise in embedded C, networking fundamentals, RTOS concepts, and hardware-software integration.
• Experience leading, mentoring, or guiding engineering teams.
• Hands-on experience with debugging tools and embedded development workflows.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across disciplines.

With a rapidly expanding product portfolio and ambitious growth plans, they are seeking a Firmware Engineering Manager to lead the development of next-generation connected devices while remaining hands-on in technical work.

What You’ll Do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of firmware engineers while contributing directly to architecture, design, and development.
• Develop embedded firmware for connected products, including wireless connectivity, OTA updates, sensor integration, and data communication.

Compensation

Base salary range of $245,000-$280,000, plus benefits and potential equity.
