Job summary

Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, CS or related discipline.
  • 3–5 years hands-on embedded firmware development experience.
  • Experience contributing to embedded or IoT product development projects.
  • Knowledge of firmware development in real-time or resource-constrained environments.
  • Familiarity with cross-functional product development environments with hardware teams.
  • Experience with structured development processes and quality-focused environments including JIRA.
  • Experience in Agile or similar project management environments.

BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.

3–5 years of hands‑on embedded firmware development experience.

Experience contributing to embedded or IoT product development projects.

Working knowledge of firmware development in real‑time or resource‑constrained environments.

Familiarity with cross‑functional product development environments including coordination with hardware teams.

Experience working within structured development processes and quality‑focused environments including using tools like JIRA.

Experience working in Agile or similar project management environments.

Technical Skills

Proficient C/C++ programming skills (including basic object‑oriented concepts).

Experience with embedded system development and debugging tools.

Able to effectively leverage AI tools to assist during software design and implementation

Familiarity with embedded MCU architectures (e.g., ST Micro, Nordic or similar).

Solution development exposure to Real‑time OS and / or embedded Linux environments.

Basic experience with low‑level device driver interaction or peripheral integration.

Understanding of IoT system components including edge devices and cloud‑connected systems.

Awareness of performance, memory, and power considerations in embedded systems.

Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to consumer electronics product software and firmware development.

Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or other IoT cloud platforms as integrated with embedded solutions.

Exposure to IoT AI edge processing or machine learning concepts.

Experience supporting mobile app integration (iOS/Android).

Experience working in regulated or QMS certified development environments (e.g., ISO 9001).

Demonstrates strong ownership of assigned technical tasks.

Works effectively with moderate supervision and seeks guidance when appropriate.

Communicates clearly with team members and stakeholders.

Is detail‑oriented and committed to writing reliable, maintainable code.

Actively develops technical skills and contributes positively to team performance.

Maintains high standards for documentation, testing, and engineering discipline.

The salary range for this position is: $77,000 - $202,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
