Job summary

Anduril Industries, located in Lexington, Massachusetts, is seeking a Firmware Engineer for its Imaging team to design firmware for embedded hardware and drive prototypes to flight/test readiness.

You will implement C/C++ on ARM-based processors in FPGAs/SoCs, troubleshoot across hardware/software boundaries, and collaborate with hardware, software, and test engineers to deliver robust products.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience developing firmware for embedded processors using C/C++.
  • Experience with configuration control systems like Git/Github.
  • Experience with testing, supporting, and troubleshooting complex hardware, embedded systems, and products.
  • Competence with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, debuggers, current-probes, and automation of tests.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

The Anduril Imaging team developsstate-of-the-artimaging systems across both hardware and software, deployed to tackle the most significant security challenges of America and its allies.The team is heavily involved inutilizingcomputer vision, perception, electro-optical, infrared, and sensor data to give our war fighters and allies an advantage.

ABOUT THE JOB

The Imaging team is seeking a Firmware Engineer to help design a new productlines. In this role, you will work closely with an interdisciplinary technical team to define, complete the design and analysis, build prototypes leading to ground and flight testing, and mature the prototypes into products.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Design firmware for embedded hardware, from concept to functional prototype, board bring-up, and system level integration
  • Write C/C++for ARM processers in modern FPGAs, SoCs, and SoMs
  • Troubleshoot issues that span the electrical and software boundaries, with solid skills using both lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, DMM, etc.) and basic software debugging tools
  • Work closely with hardware and software engineers for component selection, troubleshooting, and product support
  • Work closely with other electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers to deliver fully functional products
  • Develop firmware across multiple products at various stages of their development cycle
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience developing firmware for for embedded processors using C/C++
  • Experience with configuration control system like (eg Git , Github etc..)
  • Experience with testing, supporting, and troubleshooting complex hardware, embedded systems, and products
  • Competence with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, debuggers, current-probes, and automation of tests
  • Eligible to obtain andmaintainan active U.S. Secret security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of experience FPGA devices
  • Embedded software development experience with the use of timers and interrupts
  • Experience with developing HDL firmware for Xilinx FPGA devices and embedded real-time systems with C/C++
  • Experience with component selection, schematic capture, high speed board design, and PCB layout
  • Knowledge of embedded Linux development, including device trees, hardware drivers, bootloaders, and basic Unix/Linux tools
  • Familiar with common programming languages like Python and MATLAB
  • Familiarity with infrared image sensor technology

US Salary Range

$166,000—$220,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
