We are seeking a skilled Firmware Engineer to support embedded firmware development, debugging, and validation activities within our product development environment. This role is responsible for firmware bring-up, driver development, system integration, debugging complex hardware-software interactions, and supporting product validation teams with firmware-level diagnostics. The ideal candidate combines strong embedded systems expertise with collaborative problem-solving and thorough documentation practices.

What You Will Do
Firmware Development & Bring-Up Develop and maintain Embedded Firmware for microcontrollers and application processors, including bootloaders, device drivers, and system initialization code
Board Bring-Up activities including initial power-on, peripheral validation, debug interface configuration, and hardware-software integration verification for each new board revision
Driver Development & System Integration Develop and optimize Device Drivers for sensors, communication interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, USB), and peripheral subsystems
System Integration ensuring seamless interaction between firmware, hardware, and higher-level software/application layers
Over-the-Air (OTA) Update mechanisms including firmware packaging, secure boot, and update validation
Debugging & Diagnostics Conduct Hardware-Software Debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG/SWD debuggers, and serial consoles to resolve integration issues
Power Optimization analysis and implement low-power modes, sleep states, and wake-up logic to meet product power budgets
Firmware-Level Failure Analysis to support validation teams in root-causing field failures and test escapes
Diagnostic Tools & Scripts for automated firmware testing, log capture, and regression validation
Firmware Validation & Release Manage Firmware Build & Release Processes including version control, branching strategies, and release qualification
Firmware Test Automation frameworks for unit testing, integration testing, and regression suites
Certification & Compliance Testing (e.g., BT/BLE, Wi-Fi, regulatory) with firmware configuration and debug support
What You Will Bring
Qualifications / Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related technical field
3–5+ years of experience in embedded firmware development for consumer electronics or wearable devices
Skills & Competencies Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems; familiarity with Python for scripting and test automation
Hands-on experience with RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or equivalent) and bare-metal firmware development
Strong knowledge of communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, USB, BLE, Wi-Fi) and peripheral interfacing
Demonstrated experience with debugging tools — JTAG, SWD, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and serial debug consoles
Excellent documentation skills — firmware design documents, release notes, debug guides, and technical specifications
Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines for firmware builds, and secure boot/OTA update mechanisms
Pay Range: $120000 - $130000.
Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.
