Job summary

LHP Engineering Solutions in Goleta, CA is seeking a senior software engineer to design and develop calibration and test software for infrared sensing systems. You will participate in every phase of a project, from requirements review to unit testing and sustaining engineering.

Required 10+ years in C, C++ and/or C#, experience with Visual Studio and SQL Server, embedded multi-threaded design, and familiarity with hardware buses like I2C, SPI, USB.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with C, C# and/or C++ programming.
• Experience developing in Visual Studio.
• Experience programming in an SQL Server environment.
• Experience testing equipment in thermal chambers.
• Understanding of embedded, multi-threaded software design and implementation (e.g. embedded Linux, RTEMS).
• Ability to understand both the hardware and software components of the embedded systems under test.
• Excellent knowledge of hardware subsystems and peripheral buses I2C, SPI, USB.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Experience with infrared and/or visible imaging technologies is desired but not required.
• Experience testing high volume products is helpful.
• Ability to design software in a manner that reduces test time.
• Experience using AI tools for software development in a commercial product is required.

Job Summary:

Software design and development of calibration and test software for our infrared sensing systems; also, development of production support software and systems. Participation in every phase of a project: requirements review, software design and coding, unit testing, system integration and sustaining engineering.

Job Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience with C, C# and/or C++ programming

• Experience testing high volume products is helpful.
• Ability to design software in a manner that reduces test time is highly desired.
• Experience using AI tools for software development in a commercial product is required.

Education

• BS or MS in Computer Science/Engineering, EE, Mathematics, Physics or related or equivalent relevant work experience.
