Job summary

Kaleidoscope Innovation in Atlanta, GA, is seeking an embedded engineer with strong C/C++ experience on microcontrollers and hands-on embedded Linux (Yocto) for hardware control and system integration. The role involves interfacing with sensors, motors, and medical device components, plus integration with the main .NET application.

Hybrid work arrangement in Atlanta area. Applicants should have exposure to control systems, real-time embedded design, and knowledge of IEC 62304 standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in control systems with protocols like I2C, I2C, UART SPI, Bare Metal and RTOS.
• Strong experience in Embedded C/C++ development on microcontrollers (bare-metal/RTOS) for hardware control (sensors, motors, valves, ADC/DAC, PWM).
• Hands-on with embedded Linux (Yocto) including system integration, boot flow, and device communication.
• Experience in hardware interfacing and communication protocols (UART, I2C, SPI, RS-485, SMBus)
• Knowledge of control systems (PID/feedback loops) and real-time embedded design.
• Familiarity with firmware architecture, bootloaders, and firmware upgrade mechanisms
• Experience in debugging complex systems involving MCU firmware + Linux applications, including fault handling and diagnostics.
• Understanding of embedded Linux security, containerization (Docker), and system-level integration is a plus
• Exposure to medical standards (e.g., IEC 62304) preferred
• Experience in Medical device development
• Should be able to help in integration of Main application(.NET) with Firmware and Hardware

Required Skills
